President's message and executive committee

Dear Colleagues:

It is with great delight that I welcome you to the Canadian Alliance of Black Educators website as part of our usage of technology in order to improve the effectiveness of communication with members and the public at large.

As a volunteer organization that has been in existence since 1980, CABE prides itself in making linkages to African Canadian students, parents, educators and stakeholders in order to improve their life chances and goals of success. The organization does not receive government funding in order to develop and deliver programs, and our outcomes have been on account of the dedication, passion and perseverance of its members and community.

As the Canadian Alliance of Black Educators increases its involvement to better serve its constituents, the organization requires additional committed volunteers to assist in the following areas: Program Development, Sales and Marketing, Publications and Publicity, National Outreach and Fundraising. Therefore, I would be happy to hear from you via electronic mail at should one of the above areas be in your interest.

In conclusion, I look forward to working with persons who are interested in advancing the educational agenda in all of it s facets, and seeing that we live in challenging times, it is imperative to enact collaborative strategies in order to build positive alliances.

Yours in education,

Kirk Mark, M.Ed.
